Shiren the Wanderer: the Tower of Fortune and Dice of Fate ( Purchase) There is a Western release but it can go for quite a high price. As it is Japanese only I would not recommend it for non-Japanese speakers. Shinobido 2 is an action adventure game which is heavy on tutorial and plot. It’s a visual novel with large amounts of text and little else in terms of gameplay to enjoy. While Japanese is still the only way to play Robotic Notes Elite I still can’t recommend it to fans of semi-colons if you don’t already speak Japanese. This is a first-person shooter with a decently priced NA and PAL release so you’re probably better off picking it up there. Menus, voice acting everything is Japanese only. Unlike most games made in the West, Resistance: Burning Skies doesn’t have any English support. I can’t fully recommend it though without a good grasp of the language. If you want a physical this is the only way to go. There is an English translation which is digital only.

NG is an absolutely amazing Vita horror VN which I 100% recommend. There are Western releases though so I would hold out for that.

They are also pretty hard to parse without Japanese knowledge so I wouldn’t recommend it. One of the most popular and varied franchises but every game in the Hyperdimension Neptunia series is Japanese only. Hyperdimension Neptunia Vs Sega Hard Girls ( Purchase) It has some platform based areas which don’t require Japanese, but there are also a lot of cutscenes, story sections and menuing all of which requires a good knowledge of Japanese to enjoy. Exist Archive ( Purchase)Įxist Archive is an RPG with absolutely no English support. That being said, it did receive a Western English release so I recommend picking that up. Chaos Child ( Purchase)Ĭhaos Child is a highly recommended Visual Novel from the makers behind Steins Gate however, like Steins Gate because it is a visual novel there is not much to be had out of this title if you don’t speak Japanese. The links provided aren’t necessarily the cheapest or best price I found, they just link back to those 2 sites thanks. All links are Play Asia or Amazon and some are affiliate links. Click the link to check prices and purchase. I hope this guide helps you with importing Vita games. Green requires little to no Japanese knowledge to enjoy. Yellow requires some Japanese to play but may be playable through guides. Red is not recommended for those without good knowledge of Japanese. This list will by no means be extensive there are 1000’s of Vita games after all, but I hope to categorize games by their ease to play without knowledge of Japanese. The most common thing I am asked for is a list of Japanese PlayStation Vita games which are friendly to importers.
